In my research for this post, when I was trying to list the perfect 14 films to make your knees go weak and your heart flutter, I noticed one key thing: most romantic films are sad. Most of them have huge emotional storylines, dealing with loss and trauma. Whilst these films are fantastic, they do not scream 'perfect valentines movie’ to me.
