Project Hail Mary Review

     A few times a year I like to go into a film completely blind, no trailers, no research. I avoid everything I see about the film. This year Project Hail Mary was my blind movie pick, I knew exactly two things about this film: It was set in space and the aliens were not of the scary variety. In passing I had seen what seemed positive reviews from my fellow film reviewers, so despite not really knowing a lot about the film I had pretty high expectations. And let me tell you those expectations were exceeded. I have even revived my Letterbox just so I can use Project Hail Mary as a benchmark for every film I see in 2026 and let me tell you it will take something huge to knock Project Hail Mary out of first place. Christmas Movie List

Hi!! Christmas is my favourite time of year, I love the awful jumpers, baking cookies, snuggling in the warm with hot chocolate, but most of all I love the movies. I would watch Christmas films all year around if I could (I may have watched Christmas films on occasions after nights out back when I was at university... but shhhh don't tell). With December less than a week away I decided to make a Christmas Movie Watchlist. The list is made up of 24 films for 24 days - it's sort of like a Christmas advent calendar but with films! Brilliant right? I haven't numbered the films that way you can watch them in whatever order you like. The list is made up of my favourites, some have been favourites since I was a child, some are films that have come out this year, but I love them all.
