How To Make A Killing Review

Have you ever wondered w hat happens when you are the disowned grandson of a dynasty worth billions? How To Make A Killing , directed by John Patton Ford, explores this exact question. From the early trailers it was clear How to Make a Killing was going to be unique, particularly in terms of genre. The film is a fantastic combination of thriller and comedy. This hybrid genre makes How to Make a Killing appealing to a wide variety of audiences, it's not too dark nor is it too comedic it is a perfect balance between the two. But is it a thrilling ride or does it fall flat? Read on for my full review. Glen Powell is at his most charming as he takes on the lead role: Becket Redfellow. Powell's charisma oozes on screen, in what might be one of his best performances. The film starts when Beckets mother Mary (Nell Williams) falls pregnant at age sixteen, is disowned by her father Whitelaw (Ed Harris) and leaves behind her privileged lifestyle rising Becket as a single mothe...

Christmas 2020 Bucket List

Ho Ho Ho! It is officially the most magical time of the year on Just Another Film Blog! This year I have decided to embrace the holiday season a little early. I have a lot planned for this Christmas, I have a 25 Days of Christmas watchlist, an Alternative Christmas watchlist as well as some festive themed posts. I will also be posting regularly on Instagram so make sure you are following Just Another Film Blog on Instagram for a little extra film centred festive fun. To kick off Christmas here is the Christmas 2020 Bucket List! Below I explain the Bucket List a little - I really hope you join in, share your festive fun on Instagram and make sure you tag Just Another Film Blog!

Check out my top five Christmas films HERE!

  • Drink Hot Chocolate

I challenge you to name a more festive drink? Make a nice big Hot Chocolate, add some marshmallows, maybe even add a flake, and curl up in the warmth.

  • Burn Scented Candles
Christmas smells are some of the best smells on earth, so burn some Christmas scented candles and fill your home with the scent of Christmas. Just remember to use responsibly.
  • Donate a Gift
It is the season of gift giving and something I always try and do is donate a gift. Christmas is all about acts of kindness and donating a gift is a lovely way to share Christmas cheer.
  • Complete the 25 Days of Christmas Watchlist
My 25 days of Christmas Watchlist will feature all your festive favourites! The watchlist will be revealed on the 1st December.
  • Take a Walk
Wrap up warm and take a nice walk this winter. There is something pretty about nature at this time of year. Plus going for a walk is the perfect excuse for another hot chocolate.
  • Make Paper Snowflakes
I love making paper snowflakes. They are fun to make, look cute and remind me of my childhood. Add some pretty tape or some diamonds to your snowflakes to make them look even cuter.
  • Look at Christmas Lights
Exterior Christmas lights look so magical. Take a drive or a walk and take in the magical lights.
  • Send Christmas Cards
This Christmas it is unlikely that we will be able to see all our friends and family so why not send some Christmas cards. Over recent years the popularity of Christmas cards have declined, but this year write and few and let your friends and family know you are thinking of them.
  • Bake Cookies
Get your household together and bake some Christmas cookies. Or go all out and make a tasty gingerbread house.
  • Decorate for Christmas
The best thing about Christmas is decorating for it. Throw on some Christmas music and decorate until your home is bursting with Christmas decorations. Make sure to take a tree picture.

Lets have the most magical Christmas this year. I hope you enjoy this Bucket List and I look forward to sharing most festive posts with you all over the next month.

Thank you for reading and stay safe. xx
