The Magic Faraway Tree Review

The cinematic adaption of Enid Blyton's book series The Faraway Tree is now in cinemas. Director Ben Gregor adapts the books which started in 1939 for modern day audiences in The Magic Faraway Tree .  Will the film charm audiences the way the books have for decades? Unfortunately, for a film that should be full of wonder and magic, it falls flat for the majority of the run time, unable to reach its full potential. 14 Films to Watch this Valentines Day

Are you looking for a film to watch this Valentines? Maybe you have a special someone to watch with, or you’re planning a galantines movie night, or you are just looking for a cute romantic film to enjoy this month. The below list will hopefully put a stop to the endless streaming scrolling for a film to watch.

In my research for this post, when I was trying to list the perfect 14 films to make your knees go weak and your heart flutter, I noticed one key thing: most romantic films are sad. Most of them have huge emotional storylines, dealing with loss and trauma. Whilst these films are fantastic, they do not scream 'perfect valentines movie’ to me. I want yearning, I want dramatic in the rain confessions of love and endless cute moments. So, I have picked films that probably won't make you cry, because this valentines let's focus on love and happiness, not tears and ice cream. Scroll down for the 14 films you should watch this Valentine’s day!

As you can see this list is a mix of teen rom-coms that will make us laugh while the leads fall in love. There are period films were yearning is key to the story. There are the 90s classics and the teen films. All of these films are iconic in their own way, whether it be the grand gestures or the quiet moments of realisation.

What are your go to valentines films? Do like the ones that make you smile or do you prefer the ones that will have you crying?

Have a great valentine weekend! Xx
